We held a Quilt of Your Choice drawing on February 4 to help publicize our mission as well as give interested donors an opportunity for small donations and, of course, a chance at being drawn to receive a quilt. The names drawn were Brenda Wilson and Anitra Stark. They have chosen their favorite quilt and are very happy with the outcome. We want to thank all those participants in our drawing. Your donation is greatly appreciated.
We have made our home in Ironton, Missouri in the beautiful Arcadia Valley for the past seven years and were introduced at our church to Trevor and Teresa Johnson, missionaries to Indonesia. Teresa grew up here in Ironton while Trevor grew up in the St. Louis area. Being trained as a nurse, she operates a free health clinic from her front porch, while Trevor is often found journeying inland through jungle terrain and on river canoe to tribes in unreached areas of Papua, Indonesia. We even gave some thought and prayer to moving to Indonesia to teach in a missionary kid’s school.

For now we find we are able to help market quilts made by poor Indonesian villagers who needed some form of income. You can read about them here on our blog. We hope this blog can help spread the word that there are some beautiful hand-crafted traditionally made quilts to be had for a very good price and at the same time be helping support a work in this tropical land. Have a look around. View the quilts here at our Kodak album site. Contact us if you are interested in purchasing a quilt.
